What Happened to My Patient? LLM Powered Patient Follow Ups for Clinicians Without Manual Chart Review
Typically, many physicians will not be able to follow up on all patients they see in their daily practice, while chart review requires significant activation energy. We have launched phase 1 of a pilot project in the Department of Emergency Medicine where we provide follow-up information, first manually and ultimately A.I. generated.

Language Access and Mental Health Equity for Ethnic Minorities: An NLP Approach
This presentation presents a research agenda on language access as a foundation for improving behavioral health services for ethnic minority populations. Drawing on completed, ongoing, and potential future studies, it examines how natural language processing can be used to measure gaps in alignment with the National CLAS Standards and to identify barriers to care. The talk also highlights how large language models and AI can be potentially applied to enhance language accessibility and ultimately improve service delivery.
